「信仰於未見」(《古蘭經》2:3),是伊斯蘭與唯物主義認識分歧的焦點。 人類的感覺極為有限,因此主觀臆斷必有偏差,單憑著五官和感覺理解的世界,總歸是現象,不會是真理。 古代人的認識肯定不如現代人更接近真理,因為借助于現代科技器具,我們所觀察到的東西遠遠超過古人,例如電子顯微鏡和太空望遠鏡,把微小的顆粒放大了幾百萬倍,把人類的眼光延長出數萬公里,但更深遠處仍舊是一片虛無縹緲的漆黑。 此外,在對人體的研究中,血象分析、基因鏈觀察、DNA對比,生物學探索進入了前所未有的細密深度,但是科學家們說對DNA的知曉僅有3%,其餘的97%都是人類無知的「廢品」盲區。 知識這東西,沒有盡頭,越是有學問的人,越是感到知識的深邃,看不到邊際。 好比站在海灘上看海,未見的大海比所見的大海要大得多,所有只能望洋興嘆了。 唯物主義者主張,一切事物都必須有實物驗證,包治百病,這無疑於癡人說夢,不由自主地落入了空想的泥潭。

We need knowledge, yes, but we also need the thinking ability to use knowledge and skill productivity to benefit people. Thinking is important and essential human resource. We need to think to decide what knowledge we should seek and where to look for it. We need to think to make the best use of the knowledge we have by employing decision, choice, planning, designing, and action. We need to think to set up possible ways of putting the knowledge together. We need to think to what extent that knowledge will bring benefit to people. The quality of our present and future lives depends on the quality of our thinking. This is so, not only at the personal level but also at the community and national levels.

在當下亂象紛紛的世界,正信不舉,理性孱弱,世人多偏執激進而視野狹隘,跟風盲從而不辨正邪。這正說明,當代人多麼需要靜處,慎思,以誠意而獲致真宰的明心之解啊!
